Rodrigo De Paul of Udinese is a target for Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid this summer. The La Liga Champions have bid €20 million for his services, and they have been turned down by Udinese. The asking price for the Argentinian is set at €40 million, and both clubs will have to pay up if they want the player since he has a few years left on his current deal.

The player recently reflected on transfer rumours and refrained from commenting on a future elsewhere out of respect for his current club and its fans:

“I was very sincere, very clear with whom I had to be clear,I said what I thought, what I want.

“I’m 27 now. I’m not going to speak anywhere else because I respect everyone at Udinese, especially the fans who really love me.”

He also talked about how he feels like a better player now than when he was when he arrived in Italy:

“People talk about goals and assists but I was looking for stats on ball recoveries the other day. I’m on almost treble the first year: it was 150, it’s over 400 now.

“What I didn’t have then, now I do. So now you think: ‘OK, what’s next? What’s missing?’”

Atletico Madrid will have to find an agreement with Udinese if they hope to secure a deal for the central midfielder. On the other hand, they are also willing to listen to offers for Kieran Trippier, who is reportedly being targeted by Manchester United. They have set a price tag of €40 million on the right-back, but want to keep him ideally.
