The Affair Was Just the Beginning New Stills: A Fierce Physical Fight Breaks Out Between Two Couples

Two families, one shared secret, and a black comedy that’s about to get a lot more chaotic. The Affair Was Just the Beginning just dropped new stills teasing an explosive confrontation, and it looks like the drama’s second half is going to hit even harder than its first.

The series follows a popular influencer couple who’ve built their public image around a happy family, only to get entangled with their next-door neighbors — a married doctor couple locked in a bitter divorce — over a secret so shocking it makes an affair look trivial by comparison.

The newly released stills capture Kyung Hee (Kim Hye Soo), Soo Jung (Cho Yeo Jeong), Jae Hong (Kim Ji Hun), and Bo Sung (Kim Jae Chul), whose lives have grown increasingly tangled amid mounting misunderstandings and secrets. Kyung Hee and Jae Hong, already at odds, are shown looking shocked as they witness something unfold in front of them.

The stills escalate quickly from tension to physical confrontation — Jae Hong, Bo Sung, and a mysterious third figure are shown wrestling on the floor, raising immediate questions about what triggered the fight and who the unidentified person is. Meanwhile, Kyung Hee, Soo Jung, and Bo Sung are pictured in defensive stances, with Soo Jung covering her mouth in shock and Jae Hong standing behind her visibly distressed.

The drama isn’t slowing down on subplots either. Bo Sung’s divorce lawyer, Choi Sang Chul (Lee Doo Seok), is shown secretly breaking into Jae Hong’s home, while Na Do (Park Ryang Woo) — the twin brother of a private investigator who died in a hit-and-run — begins digging for the truth behind his sibling’s death. Adding another layer, Min Seo and Ye Ji, the daughters of both couples, encounter an unexpected person after visiting Kyung Hee’s villa, hinting at yet another twist on the horizon.

With this many overlapping mysteries — a mysterious fight, a break-in, and a suspicious death — the back half of the drama looks primed to tie everything together in increasingly dark ways.
