Milestones Worth Noting

The Priyadarshan collaboration is especially special — it marks the filmmaker’s 100th film, and brings the pair full circle since Mohanlal starred in Priyadarshan’s directorial debut, Poochakkoru Mookkuthi, back in 1984. Meanwhile, the Jeethu Joseph project has fans buzzing over whether it’s finally the much-delayed Ram, or an entirely new story.

What’s Releasing First

Before any of these seven roll out, Mohanlal returns to theaters with Athimanoharam, directed by Tharun Moorthy and co-starring Meera Jasmine. The film hits screens on December 24, 2026. He’ll also appear in cameo roles in Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Khalifa: Part 1 and Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2.

With this many high-profile collaborations lined up, Mohanlal’s upcoming run could easily define Malayalam cinema’s next few years. For more South Indian film updates and star announcements, check out the latest entertainment coverage on TechnoSports.
