Tweeter earlier announced that it would be introducing a new Super Follows feature to its social media platform and explained how the new feature would work. According to previous announcements, the new feature will allow some users to charge followers and access extra content.

On Sunday, app researcher Jane Manchun Wong tweeted screenshots of what she says it will look like. According to the information discovered by Wong, the Super Follows program will be limited to Twitter users with at least 10,000 followers and who have posted at least 25 tweets within the past 30 days, and they have to be at least 18 years old.

Twitter has previously announced that one of the main features of Super Follows will be bonus content, such as exclusive tweets for Super Followers.

After the research Wong was posted online, Twitter declined to comment on it. However, Twitter had earlier stated that the Super Follows feature is a kind of subscription, providing an example where a Super Follows user charged $4.99 per month for users to get access to “perks.”

Twitter may start testing its latest payment feature called Tip Jar. It lets users make one-time payments to creators directly on Twitter by clicking a dollar bill icon on their Twitter profile. The company announced that it doesn’t cut from the Tip Jar donations, supporting several payment options, including Cash App, PayPal, and Venmo. However, it is being speculated that Twitter would take a percentage from Super Follows.

This year, Twitter has introduced many new features, including the Twitter Blue subscription service, currently being tested in Canada and Australia. It’s also reopened, yet again, its verification program updated its warnings for potentially offensive tweets, improved its photo cropping algorithm to allow “taller” images to display in users’ feeds fully, and so on.
