Beauty in Black Wasn’t Supposed to Live This Long

Just when fans braced for a series finale, Netflix flipped the script. Beauty in Black has officially been renewed for a fourth season — reversing an earlier announcement that Season 3 would close out the Bellarie family saga for good.

From “Final Season” to “One More Chapter”

Netflix had previously confirmed Season 3 as the show’s last outing following the early 2026 release of Season 2. But before Season 3 has even premiered, the streamer greenlit Season 4, a rare mid-course reversal that signals just how strongly the series is performing.

The Numbers Behind the Reversal

The renewal isn’t a sentimental decision — it’s a data-backed one. Across its first two seasons, Beauty in Black has crossed over 1 billion viewing hours on Netflix, translating to more than 104 million views. Season 1 spent seven weeks in Netflix’s Global Top 10 and hit #1 in 28 countries, while Season 2 held on for six more weeks in the Top 10, topping the charts in 17 countries.

Tyler Perry Confirms the News

Tyler Perry announced the renewal directly to fans through a surprise cast video, explaining that the Bellarie family’s story still had more to tell and that he was grateful for the chance to keep building on it. The announcement came alongside excitement from the cast, who teased that the drama, blackmail, and family power struggles are far from over.
