Akansha Ranjan Kapoor Says “I Do” — Bollywood’s Best Friend Finds Her Forever Person

Some weddings feel inevitable, and this one’s been building for a while. Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, best known for Guilty and her close friendship with Alia Bhatt, officially tied the knot with filmmaker Sharan Sharma on July 11, 2026 — and the pictures are exactly as dreamy as fans hoped.

Akansha Ranjan Kapoor’s Big Day

Akansha confirmed the wedding herself, sharing intimate photos on social media with a caption that roughly translates to: without you, a house doesn’t feel like home, and with you, nothing feels scary. The ceremony, held quietly at her Mumbai residence, was attended only by close friends and family, keeping true to the couple’s wish for a private affair.

In the photos, Akansha stunned in a red saree with gold detailing, paired with traditional bridal jewelry and mehendi, while Sharan opted for a classic white kurta-pyjama with an embroidered jacket. The two were seen holding hands and signing marriage documents in candid, joy-filled frames.

A Star-Studded Build-Up

The couple’s sangeet ceremony earlier drew a glittering guest list, with Alia Bhatt and Janhvi Kapoor among those dancing the night away. Akansha’s close bond with Bollywood’s biggest names has made this wedding one of the most-followed celebrity events of the year.

On the work front, Akansha was last seen in the courtroom drama Ikka, while Sharan Sharma most recently directed Mr. & Mrs. Mahi. Interestingly, marriage itself has deep cultural roots explored across traditions — the practice of wedding ceremonies varies widely by region, yet nearly all share this same spirit of celebration and commitment.
