Hyundai Ioniq 9 Interior Design Leaks: 5 Key Details

Hyundai Ioniq 9 interior design leaks popped up online in June 2026, giving us a glimpse into the cabin of this brand’s flagship three-row electric SUV. While we still need to confirm the official pricing and final variant lineup for North America, these leaked images hint at a fresh design direction for the automaker.

If you’re into South Korean electric vehicles, you’ll want to note that this SUV debuted at the Los Angeles Auto Show back in November 2024, positioning itself as a premium option for families on the go.

Hyundai Ioniq: Expected Features and Interior Design Leaks

The leaked images circulating in June 2026 showcase a panoramic curved display and a lounge-style seating setup. This design choice aligns with Hyundai’s goal of creating a living-room-like atmosphere for long trips, something we see becoming popular in vehicles like the Hyundai Creta in India and other modern SUVs. Motor Trend reported.

If these leaks are accurate, the interior will emphasize flexibility, allowing for seating arrangements that can fit up to 7 or 8 passengers, depending on the second-row configuration.

Beyond the display layout, the leaked images reveal a minimalist dashboard and eco-friendly material choices. This emphasis on clean lines aims to enhance the spacious feel that the long wheelbase of the E-GMP platform provides.

While we’ve seen the exterior styling since its debut in 2024, the interior remained a closely guarded secret until now. We expect the production model to keep the illuminated accents and ambient lighting features from the early concepts, giving it a leg up in the full-size SUV market.

Performance and Market Expectations

The Ioniq 9 aims to compete at the top end of electric vehicles, with power output estimated at up to 422 horsepower (314 kW) in a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup.

While these numbers haven’t been confirmed for specific regional markets, they suggest that this SUV will deliver performance that rivals traditional internal combustion vehicles. Unlike the more compact Yamaha MT-09 design or the budget-focused Hero Mavrick, the Ioniq 9 focuses heavily on luxury and long-range utility.

Keep in mind that these leaks haven’t been verified by Hyundai Motor Company just yet. The journey from a concept vehicle to a finalized flagship can be intricate, meaning the final interior materials might differ from what we’re seeing in these images. We expect to see clearer information about the North American and European launch schedules in the coming months, especially as the brand gets ready to compete against established premium electric brands.

The big question remains: Can Hyundai keep up this level of interior quality while ensuring the price stays competitive for families? Hyundai Ioniq 9
