S8UL Esports (https://s8ul.gg/), a prominent esports and gaming content organization, has secured its qualification for the Apex Legends tournament at the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026. This marks the fourth title in which S8UL has officially earned a spot at the global esports event.

The qualification follows S8UL’s performance in the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) 2026: Split 1 Pro League – APAC South. The Apex Legends event at EWC 2026 will feature 40 teams competing for a prize pool exceeding INR 19 crore, scheduled to take place from July 7 to July 11 in Paris, France.

Road to Qualification

The ALGS 2026 Split 1 Pro League – APAC South involved 30 top regional teams, structured into a Triple Round Robin stage and a Regional Final. Teams accrued Pro League Points throughout both stages, with the top eight ultimately advancing to the ALGS 2026 Split 1 Playoffs at the EWC 2026.

S8UL’s all-Australian roster, consisting of Rick Wirth (Sharky), Benjamin Spaseski (Jesko), and Tom Canty (Legacy), under the guidance of head coach Harrison Rogers (Rogers), demonstrated consistent performance. The team accumulated 106 Pro League Points in the Triple Round Robin stage, finishing second. They maintained this position in the Regional Final, adding 21 points for a total of 127 Pro League Points, securing second place in the overall regular season standings. This result not only guaranteed their EWC spot but also earned the team USD 15,000 (approximately INR 14.2 lakh) and 1,350 Championship Points towards the ALGS 2025-26 rankings.

Harrison Rogers, coach of S8UL’s Apex Legends team, stated that the team’s consistency was a key element of their strategy in the highly competitive APAC South region. He emphasized continued preparation for the international competition.

S8UL’s Broader EWC Ambitions

This qualification represents S8UL’s second consecutive year competing in Apex Legends at the EWC. The organization previously achieved a top-five finish at the ALGS 2026 Championship, which it states is a best-ever result for an Indian esports organization in the title on the global stage.

S8UL has been selected for the Esports Foundation’s Club Partner Program for the second consecutive year, outlining plans to pursue qualification across 13 titles for EWC 2026. Beyond Apex Legends, the organization has already qualified in Chess, Fortnite, and Honor of Kings. Notably, its Honor of Kings roster comprises Indian players, and Indian grandmasters Nihal Sarin and Aravindh Chithambaram have qualified for the chess competition.

The Esports World Cup 2026 is scheduled to run from July 6 to August 23 in Paris, France.
