BTS Is Back: ARIRANG Album, World Tour, Netflix Deal — Everything ARMY Needs to Know

BTS made history with their March 20 comeback album ARIRANG — their first in 6 years. Here’s the full breakdown of the album, world tour, Netflix deal, and what’s next.

They promised they would come back. And they did — louder, bolder, and more BTS than ever.

After nearly four years of staggered military service, one of the greatest K-pop groups of all time reunited on March 20, 2026, with ARIRANG — their fifth full-length studio album. The Weverse announcement alone briefly crashed the platform. The world tour sold out in hours. And ARMY? ARMY lost it — in the best possible way.

BTS ARIRANG Era: Everything at a Glance

The Wait That Felt Like a Lifetime

Tuesday’s 30-minute reunion stream marked the first time all seven members — Jung Kook, V, Jimin, Suga, Jin, J-Hope, and RM — had broadcast live together since September 2022. Over 7.3 million fans watched it in real time.

BTS members had been discharged from the military in a staggered manner — Jin was the first to enlist in December 2022, followed by J-Hope, RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook. Suga was the last to complete his alternative service on June 21, 2025 — meaning all seven members were finally free to reunite after almost two and a half years apart.

ARIRANG: What the Album Is

In one of the most anticipated pop comebacks of the century, it released their first album in more than five years. The first single, Swim, was available for pre-order ahead of release, and the album features collaborators including Kevin Parker of Tame Impala, Flume, JPEGMAFIA, Mike WiLL Made-It, and Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic.

The album reflects the culmination of their journey to date and defines the group on its own terms. The members devoted themselves to its creation in the second half of 2025, weaving individual perspectives into a collectively shaped direction.

Netflix, Live Concerts, and a World Tour

The comeback did not stop at music. The day after the album dropped, they performed a free concert at Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Square, livestreamed globally on Netflix, followed by a behind-the-scenes documentary on the same platform.

On April 9, they launched an 82-date world tour that will keep them on the road through March 2027. Tickets to every announced show sold out almost immediately — making the Arirang World Tour the largest world tour ever mounted by a single act from South Korea.
