Manchester United fans venting their anger at the club’s owners on Sunday before the match against Liverpool. A protest was organized by a set of fans against the Glazers family.
The relation between United fans and their owners is not good for a long time. Earlier, United fans have confronted multiple times towards their owner. Some wanted them to resigned from their position.
However, a large number of fans gathered outside the team hotel in Manchester city center, while there were thousands more at Old Trafford. Later, hundreds of fans managing to break into the famous old stadium and vent their frustrations on the hallowed turf. Later, the official decided to postpone the match between Manchester United and Liverpool.
But United, Liverpool, and the Premier League are having serious trouble finding an alternative date especially with United still in European competition. The Red Devils have a cluster of fixtures still to be played before the season ends with a midweek game and a weekend game over the final few weeks. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men travel to Rome in the coming days for the second league of the semi-final tie against Roma in the Europa League.
However, Liverpool don’t have no mid-week game to play. As all the Premier league matches need to be played before May 23rd, the official needs to fix a date in betwween.
As per the report by The Telegraph, the match is most likely to be played Sunday, May 16, which is the day after the FA Cup final between Chelsea and Leicester City, and the week before the Premier League season ends.
