K-pop and fashion collide in messy ways sometimes. This week, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo found her name in the middle of a dispute over unreturned designer clothes — and the internet had opinions before the full story even came out.
What Happened?
BLACKPINK member Jisoo got embroiled in an issue concerning a photoshoot of hers. A designer called Benjamin Voortmans, who runs the brand Judassime, claimed that the fits lent to her team for the project were not returned even after many months.
The situation quickly blew up online — fans started picking sides, the designer’s name trended, and it looked like Jisoo’s reputation could take a hit. But then Voortmans himself stepped in to set the record straight.

Designer Clarifies: Jisoo Is Not at Fault
Voortmans shared multiple social media updates clarifying his stance, writing that neither Jisoo nor BLISSOO ever stole, handled, shipped, or personally kept any garments, and that at no point was it his intention to accuse her directly.

He explained that his garments were sent to Paris in December last year for a planned shoot involving Jisoo in Korea, and over time the shooting dates were postponed multiple times, with the garments remaining unavailable and no clear updates or resolution provided.
In other words — the artist had nothing to do with it. It was a team-level communication breakdown, not a personal failing on Jisoo’s part.

Why This Still Matters
This isn’t the first time a K-pop artist has been caught in the crossfire of behind-the-scenes management issues. Stylists, agencies, and brand teams operate in a complex web — and fans often see only the celebrity’s name, not the layers of staff involved.
Voortmans confirmed that the missing pieces from his collection severely impacted his business, but with an update on the items being returned, he now wishes for a separation of the issue from the artist.
Jisoo, meanwhile, continues her solo journey under her own label BLISSOO — a venture she has been building independently amid other personal challenges this year.
