Decision AI Meets Decade-Deep Consulting Expertise: Why Shantha Maheswari Sekhar’s Move to DecisionX Is a Signal Worth Watching

The best early indicator of an enterprise AI company’s seriousness? Who they bring to the table — and why those people said yes.

Decision AI: The Appointment in Brief

On May 7, 2026, Bengaluru-based DecisionX announced Shantha Maheswari Sekhar as its Strategic Advisor for GTM and Industry Relations — a former Managing Director at Accenture and senior leader at EY, with over 30 years of enterprise transformation experience across five major industry verticals.

She is the first of several senior advisors DecisionX plans to announce as it formalises its advisory structure ahead of broader market expansion.

Shantha Maheswari Sekhar: The Profile

What Is DecisionX Building — And Why Does It Need This Profile?

DecisionX is a Decision AI company building what it calls Decision Infrastructure — a platform that uses a Cognitive Ontology to unify fragmented enterprise context across data, business signals, and workflows. The goal is to help strategy and analytics teams surface blind spots, perform strategic reasoning, and track market foresight — all through a chat-based interface.

Founded in 2025 and headquartered in Bengaluru, the company works with enterprises across banking, healthcare, life sciences, consumer, and industrial sectors.

This isn’t a dashboard tool or another BI layer. It’s a system that understands what data means, why it moves, and what decision it should drive — a meaningfully different ambition.

Two Priorities, One Clear Direction

In her advisory capacity, Shantha will focus on two core areas:

1. Enterprise GTM Strategy — Shaping outcome-led positioning across vertical industries, helping DecisionX speak the language of the strategy and analytics leaders it serves — not just the IT buyers.

2. Partnership Development — Building relationships with global capability centres, system integrators, and analyst houses to create scalable, partner-led growth channels.

Ranjan Kumar, Founder and CEO of DecisionX, noted that Shantha has spent three decades inside the rooms where strategy, technology, and governance decisions are actually made — and that depth of access and credibility is precisely what an early-stage enterprise AI company needs to accelerate GTM traction.

Why This Hire Signals Maturity, Not Just Momentum?

Most AI startups grow through product-led noise. DecisionX is making a different bet — building advisory credibility before broad market visibility. Bringing in someone actively pursuing a doctorate in AI and Machine Learning, who simultaneously sits on multiple corporate boards, suggests the company is serious about both the technical depth and the governance rigour of what it’s building.

Shantha herself described the DecisionX team’s approach as one of rare technical depth and clarity of purpose — and for someone who has seen hundreds of technology transformation programmes from the inside, that’s not a throwaway compliment.
