If you needed proof that Deepika Padukone is truly one of the most dedicated and unstoppable forces in Indian cinema, here it is. Just days after she and husband Ranveer Singh announced their second pregnancy to the world, the 40-year-old actress was spotted back on the sets of King in South Africa — holding hands with Shah Rukh Khan in what appears to be a breezy date-like sequence for the film.

What the Fan Photos Reveal?

Fan-taken photos from the South Africa shoot show the two superstars walking hand-in-hand with smiles on their faces, surrounded by an entourage of staff. Shah Rukh Khan opted for a striped, almost see-through shirt over dressy pants and sunglasses, while Deepika was seen with a beautiful blowout, wearing an off-white maxi dress with florals. She appeared to be in high spirits during the filming, and any signs of a baby bump were elegantly concealed by her stylish look.

The warmth and ease visible between the two longtime friends is unmistakable — and for fans of their iconic on-screen chemistry, this glimpse from what is reportedly a romantic date sequence is already generating enormous excitement.

Deepika’s Packed Schedule — King & Raaka Both Ongoing

Deepika is also currently in the middle of shooting for Allu Arjun and Atlee’s collaboration project, which confirmed its title as Raaka, with Allu Arjun’s beastly avatar revealed in the first look. The action science fiction thriller also stars Mrunal Thakur as co-lead, though no release date has yet been confirmed.

Managing two big-ticket productions alongside a second pregnancy is no small feat — and it’s exactly the kind of professional commitment that has made Deepika one of Bollywood’s most respected leading women.

King is directed by Siddharth Anand, the filmmaker behind blockbusters like Pathaan and War. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan in the lead, with Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan also in key roles. King has locked its release date as December 24, 2026, targeting the Christmas holiday crowd for a year-end run at the box office. Given the star power assembled — and SRK’s post-Pathaan box office dominance — the anticipation around this one is at fever pitch.
