Cristiano Ronaldo could be headed for an exit from Juventus this summer, with tensions reportedly brewing in the background. Former Juventus head coach Max Allegri has come out and talked about the Portuguese legend’s presence at the club, saying, “Get rid of Ronaldo, he’s blocking the team’s growth.”
Former Inter Milan winger Walter Zenga also had similar thoughts to Allegri, “[Ronaldo] is mad with himself because he has realised that he doesn’t have the same impact on the team as before,” said Zenga.
There were rumours following the Bianconeri’s Champions League exit to Porto this season after crashing out against Lyon and Ajax in the years gone by.
Rather ironically, Ronaldo is the top scorer in the Serie A and is having another splendid individual season. However, his presence in the big games has gone down massively, with the player being unable to turn things around against Porto like he has in the past, particularly for Real Madrid.
Max Allegri is being linked with a return to the hot seat at Allianz Stadium and if that is the case, then he will surely be looking to get rid of Ronaldo to facilitate a more well rounded approach to the team’s style of play. Andrea Pirlo is still being trusted with the team for the time being, but it could all change in the summer.
