Why Navdeep Saini Makes Sense for KKR
Saini had been training with KKR as a net bowler and performed well in two practice matches, bowling with good pace that impressed the management. He brings a decent death-bowling option that was perhaps missing in KKR’s attack until now. Box Office Worldwide
That last point is crucial. Death bowling is one of the most specialist skills in T20 cricket, and finding someone who can execute yorkers under pressure in the final overs is priceless. Saini checks that box firmly.
He is known for his searing yorkers — a must-have for any attack. Notably, in IPL 2020 he defended 7 runs in the Super Over against MI for RCB. His T20 economy rate across 87 matches stands at an impressive 7.56.
An economy of 7.56 in T20 cricket is genuinely exceptional. It tells you this is a bowler who doesn’t just take wickets — he controls games. That’s exactly what the Knights need right now. Check the full IPL 2026 schedule and team news at TechnoSports.
