Shivram & Anveera Devi: The Deeply Personal Story Behind Ram Charan and Upasana’s Twin Baby Names

When one of Telugu cinema’s biggest stars names his children, every syllable carries weight. Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela welcomed their twins — a baby boy and a baby girl — on January 31, 2026, in Hyderabad. At an intimate Naamkaran pooja held shortly after, the proud parents revealed the names they had chosen: Shivram for their son and Anveera Devi for their second daughter. And every letter of each name tells a story.

Ram Charan Named Their Twins

“Lineage and Gratitude Woven Into It”

Naming their twins, Ram Charan told Variety India, was a deeply personal and spiritual journey. After long discussions and seeking guidance from family elders, the couple arrived at names that feel less like labels and more like aspirations.

Shivram invokes the dual might of two of Hinduism’s most revered deities — Lord Shiva and Lord Rama — representing the balance of raw strength and righteous purpose. But the name goes deeper: it quietly honours Ram Charan’s legendary father Chiranjeevi, whose birth name is Shiv Shankar Vara Prasad. As Ram Charan put it, there’s lineage and gratitude woven into it.

Anveera Devi carries equal power. Veera means bravery; the prefix An expands it to something boundless and limitless. The addition of Devi was a deliberate reminder that strength and grace are not opposites — they can beautifully co-exist. For Upasana and Ram Charan, the women in their lives have always been their greatest anchors, and Anveera Devi’s name is a tribute to exactly that.

The couple’s announcement after the twins’ arrival summed it up beautifully: these names are not just identifiers — they are aspirations of strength, love, and courage.

Their firstborn, daughter Klin Kaara Konidela, was born in June 2023, making Ram Charan and Upasana a family of five.
