India lost the 3rd T20 against England

England took the lead in the T20 series against India as the Men in Blue lost the 3rd T20 tonight.

England won the game by 8 wickets. England won the toss and elected to bowl first. India scored 156 runs in the first innings. Virat Kohli was again excellent today. The Indian skipper scored 77 runs which helped India to set a decent target. KL Rahul was again gone for a duck. While other batsmen were not in their mood today as well.

However, England chased down the target set by India with 10 balls in hand. Jos Buttler [83 not out of 52] and Jonny Bairstow [40 not out 28 balls] did the job for the visitors. Jos Buttler was presented the Man of the Match award for his knock which helped England to chase down the total.

After the match, Virat Kohli said, “You don’t want to play knocks which don’t help the teams. England bowlers were hitting the good areas. For us, he (KL Rahul) has been a champion player. He will continue to be one of our main players along with Rohit at the top of the order. It’s a matter of five-six balls in this format. Toss is becoming important. We lacked intensity in the second half.”

The 4th T20 will be played on 18th of March in Motera’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
