The sponsors’ list for IPL 2021 is growing day by day.
Star Sports Network has already broken all previous IPL revenue records in the 14th edition of IPL. Now they added two more new big deal sponsors to that list. Frooti, Kamla Pasand has become the associate sponsor of IPL. Earlier Bingo and AMFI has signed the same deal.
A few days back Star Sports Network revealed that Dream11, Byju’s, Phone Pay & Just Dial have signed as Co-Presenting partner of the league. Now they signed 4 associate sponsors as well. It was reported that all the Co-Presenting Sponsorship deal is being signed in a range of 115-120 Cr and the Associate Sponsors are coming on board at 55-65 Cr levels. From it, we can easily assume the amount of revenue IPL is generating from the sponsorship deals.
However, the live streaming partner Disney+Hotstarhas also signed 10 sponsors already. Dream 11 is the co-presenting sponsor of Disney+Hotstar. Upstox & Vimal Elaichi is a co-powered sponsor and PhonePe, AMFI, Unacademy, Pharmeasy, Livspace, Swiggy, and Parle Agro have been signed on as associate sponsors.
As per the sources, Disney Star Network is targeting Rs 3200 Cr from the IPL advertising this year. This year Star has increased the selling inventory to 13 to 13.5Lac per 10 seconds as compared to 11 / 11.5 Lac per 10 seconds in IPL 2020. However, it does not affect them from getting sponsors.
Executive Vice President of Star Sports, Anil Jayraj said, “IPL continues to be a marquee to drive business results for brands and hence presents a massive opportunity for brands to reach out to a wide variety of audiences.” It is expected that IPL 2021 will surpass all the other editions of IPL in generating revenue.
