Real Madrid vs Barcelona : Copa del Rey semi-final 2nd leg – When and Where to watch the match live

The Copa del Rey semi-final match between Real Madrid and Barcelona will be held at the Santiago Bernabeu on 28th February at 1:30 am IST. Unfortunately, the live TV coverage of the match will not be available in India. So here’s how you can watch it!

The 1st leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final ended in a 1-1 draw. Both the teams dominated one half each and scored once. Lucas Vazquez had put Los Blancos in front after just six minutes but Malcom equalized three minutes before the hour mark to leave the tie in balance. Real Madrid enters the match with the slight advantage on away goals as they got a 1-1 draw at Camp Nou earlier this month. That forces Barcelona to score at least a goal to have a chance, while a 0-0 draw or a victory will see Real Madrid advance. The winner moves on to face either Valencia or Real Betis in the final.

Real Madrid and Barcelona will face each other twice in a space of four days, first at Santiago Bernabeu for the Copa del Rey second leg on 28th February. Then again on 3rd March for a La Liga fixture on the same ground. It’ll be a treat for the neutrals, and it might kill fans from both sides.

Ramos and Messi

Barcelona didn’t have the best Lionel Messi available in the 1st leg due to a nagging injury. But now Messi has returned and he is at his devastating best. He has scored his 50th career hat-trick in Barca’s 4-2 away win against Sevilla to consolidate the lead at the top of the table.

When and at what time is the Copa del Rey’s Real Madrid vs Barcelona semi-final?
The El Clasico will be played on 28th February, Thursday, and it will start at 01:30 am India time. The 2nd leg will be played at Santiago Bernabeu.

Where and how to watch the live TV coverage of Real Madrid vs Barcelona? Which TV channel will have the match live?

What will be the likely lineups for Barcelona vs Real Madrid match?
Real Madrid: Courtois; Carvajal, Varane, Ramos, Reguilon; Modric, Casemiro, Kroos; Vasquez, Benzema, Vinicius
Barcelona: Ter Stegen; Semedo, Pique, Lenglet, Alba; Rakitic, Busquets, Vidal; Messi, Suarez, Dembele

Players to watch out for:

Modric

Luka Modric (Real Madrid)
In a high octane match like El Clasico, Madrid would want Luka Modric to be at his prime. Modric combines well with Toni Kroos in the heart of the midfield to control the game.  The 33-year-old Croatian has a pass success percentage of 89.6 in La Liga this season. Further, he has 2 goals and 4 assists in the Spanish League. His dribbles, through balls, long shots and key passes are the work of a magician. He could be Real’s most vital player against Barcelona.

Messi

Lionel Messi (Barcelona)
The Barcelona great scored a brilliant hat-trick and assisted the fourth to secure victory against Sevilla. It was his career’s 50th hat-trick. He is the top goal scorer in this season’s La Liga with 25 goals. And with 26 goals he is the all-time top goal scorer in the history of El Clasico. Against a hostile and vociferous Bernabeu crowd, it could be Messi’s brilliance that could be the difference.

Historically, Barcelona have gotten the better of the Clasico, which was first played in 1929, with 113 overall wins to Real Madrid’s 99. Meanwhile, there have been 61 draws.
As Los Blancos go chasing a historic 100th victory in the fixture, these are encounters that mean more to them, especially Solari, who is doing his best to show the board that he is worth the coaching job on a full-time basis.

Barcelona, meanwhile, are the undoubted kings of the cup, having appeared in 23 successive rounds of the competition. Indeed, the last time they were knocked out before the final was February 2013, when Madrid beat them 4-2 on aggregate.
The four-time defending champions will not want history to repeat itself.
