Spirit First Look: Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s New Year Surprise Has Prabhas Fans Going Wild

Just when you thought 2026 couldn’t start any better, Sandeep Reddy Vanga dropped a bombshell—the chilling first look of Spirit featuring Prabhas and Triptii Dimri! Keeping his Animal tradition alive, the maverick director unveiled the poster at midnight on New Year’s Day, sending social media into a frenzy.

Spirit Poster That Broke the Internet

The first look is as raw and intense as you’d expect from the Animal director. Prabhas sports a rugged long-haired look with a full beard, displaying a wounded back covered in bandages while casually holding a glass of alcohol. Enter Triptii Dimri in a graceful grey saree, lighting his cigarette—the chemistry is palpable even in a still image.

The Tradition Continues: Animal to Spirit

Remember when Animal’s teaser dropped on January 1, 2023? Vanga is clearly making New Year’s midnight announcements his signature move. The poster tagline reads: “You loved what existed before. Now fall in love with what you never knew existed…”—a clear nod to his previous blockbuster while promising something entirely fresh.

What We Know About Spirit

The Premise: Prabhas plays an ex-IPS officer (his first-ever cop role!) who gets terminated for undisclosed reasons. The film promises to be a gritty action thriller with Vanga’s trademark intensity.

The Cast:

• Prabhas as the ex-IPS officer
• Triptii Dimri reportedly as a doctor

Speculation is rife about why Prabhas’s character was kicked out of the force—corrupt superiors? A moral dilemma? Whatever it is, we’re betting on explosive confrontations and jaw-dropping action sequences.

Why Spirit Could Be Bigger Than Animal

1. Prabhas’s Pan-India Appeal: Fresh off Kalki 2898 AD’s success, Prabhas in a raw cop avatar is box office gold
2. Vanga’s Proven Track Record: After Animal’s ₹900+ crore rampage, expectations are sky-high
3. Triptii Dimri’s Rising Star Power: Post-Animal, she’s become one of Bollywood’s hottest commodities
4. First Collaboration: Prabhas + Vanga = A match made in cinematic heaven

The film is eyeing a grand 2026 release, and if this first look is any indication, theaters are going to be packed. Compare this with other Prabhas upcoming projects to see his insane lineup.

Social Media Erupts

Within hours of the poster drop, #Spirit and #Prabhas were trending nationwide. Fans are already declaring it a blockbuster, and the “One Bad Habit” tagline has spawned countless memes and theories.

The wounded-back imagery, reminiscent of Christ-like suffering, hints at a protagonist who’s been betrayed, beaten down, but refuses to stay down. Classic Vanga symbolism.
