Its been a frenzy of updates coming out of the manufacturing department of Lenovo, which boasts of being the world’s largest PC manufacturer. This time it’s the Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Yoga which is getting a powerful upgrade.
Last year the company released the X13 Yoga, which was powered by the Intel Comet Lake-U Core i7-10510U. but the new Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Yoga Gen 2 will come with a Tiger Lake upgrade and all its goodies.
The ThinkPad X13 Yoga Gen 2i, as mentioned above, is powered by Intel 11th gen Tiger Lake vPro processor and integrated Iris Xe graphics with up to 32 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 2 TB NVMe storage.
According to sources, the machine is just 100 g lighter compared to the previous generation. It offers a 16:10 13.3-inch display in WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) and WQXGA (2,560 x 1,600) resolutions. The brightness options range from 300 nits to 500 nits with the 500 nits panel being PrivacyGuard-enabled.
The ThinkPad X13 Yoga Gen 2 also offers several other privacy-focused ThinkShield features including a Match-on-Chip fingerprint reader, which doubles as the power button, hybrid IR camera, and Human Presence Detection that work in conjunction with the vPro features in the new Tiger Lake processors.
Connectivity options include:
- 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports
- 1x USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A
- 1x HDMI 2.0-out
- a combo audio jack
Networking features include Wi-Fi 6 and LTE connectivity. The machine comes with a 52.8 Whr battery that keeps the device running for up to 12.3 hours. The battery can be charged via USB Type-C 65 W rapid charging.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Yoga Gen 2 will be available from April 2021 at prices starting from US$1,379.
