The 2021 summer transfer window will be an important one as many big players can be on the move. Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi’s transfer can be interlinked.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has always been an admirer of French World Cup winner, Kylian Mbappe. He wants to bring the PSG superstar to the Santiago Bernabeu. Mbappe’s current contract runs till 2022, but he hasn’t signed an extension yet so PSG may decide to sell him in the 2021 summer rather than losing him for free in 2022.

On the other hand, PSG have publicly shown interest in Lionel Messi. Messi wanted to leave Barcelona last summer but Bartomeu didn’t let him leave. So he is now waiting for his current contract to end in the summer of 2021. As Messi doesn’t show any sign of signing a contract extension, many clubs are showing interest in signing the Argentine.

French champions Paris Saint-Germain wants to sign him and link him up with Neymar and Mbappe but they may find it difficult to keep Neymar, Mbappe and Messi together and may have to sell either Mbappe or Neymar.

Here comes the opportunity for Real Madrid. As PSG are pursuing Messi, they can finally let Mbappe leave for Real Madrid in the summer of 2021. Mbappe is a huge admirer of current Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane so he may choose Real Madrid over Liverpool, who are also interested in signing the Frenchman.

Real Madrid will have the chance of again reliving their Galactico days with Hazard and Mbappe both in the team. They will look to climb the football summit once again. On the other hand, PSG will also look to make the most of the Neymar-Messi duo and win their first-ever Champions League title.

Marca has also reported that if Mbappe is in the market, Real Madrid will go all out in the summer to secure his signature. The upcoming summer transfer window seems to be an exciting one.
