Jesse Lingard is joining West Ham United on loan.
As per Sky Sports, the deal has been reached for Jesse Lingard to West Ham United on loan. The English midfielder is expected to have his medical in Manchester before travelling to London to complete the move.
Jesse Lingard has been completely out of favour after the arrival of Bruno Fernandes last season. In the summer Manchester United also signed Donny Van De Beek from Ajax which minimized the chance of getting the opportunity for Lingard. Since then Jesse Lingard did not get enough chances. Lingard also out of his national squad. So, he wanted to leave the club to get more playing time and want to get back his place in the national team in the Euro 2020.
Jesse Lingard has made only 3 appearances this season. He is yet to appear in the Premier League this season.
Jesse Lingard joined the Manchester United academy in 2000. In 2011 he was promoted to the senior team. He has played 209 games for Manchester United and scored 33 goals. His goal against Crystal Palace in FA Cup Final in 2015-16 season sealed the first trophy for Manchester United in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era. He was also one of the important members of Jose Mourinho’s UEFA Europa League team in the 2016-17 season.
Jesse Lingard was linked with West Brom United, Sheffield United, and some other Premier League clubs as well. But he chose to join the London side to play under former Manchester United manager David Moyes. It will be a question to see if he get back his form in his new team or not.
