MIRAI Updates: Teja Sajja’s Smart Reply on Religion in Movies Wins Hearts

Young Telugu superstar Teja Sajja has delivered the perfect response to critics questioning his choice of incorporating religious elements in his films. During a recent promotional event for his upcoming action-fantasy “Mirai,” a journalist asked why he often brings religion into his movies – and his witty, intelligent reply has won applause across social media.

MIRAI Smart Comeback That Stole Hearts

When asked about the religious themes in his films, Teja gave a calm but sharp reply: “No one questions filmmakers when they keep making the same love stories over and over again. Defending Creative Choices with Logic

Teja also defended his choices, explaining that HanuMan is a superhero story with religious elements, but also features sister sentiment and several other angles. He noted that the Mirai trailer shows only a few seconds of Lord Sriram. This clarification demonstrates his understanding of storytelling balance and audience expectations.

The HanuMan Phenomenon: Proof of Concept

The success of HanuMan validates Teja’s approach perfectly. The film grossed an estimated ₹350 crore worldwide, emerging as the tenth highest-grossing Indian film of 2024 and the eleventh highest-grossing Telugu film worldwide. More impressively, it became the first Indian film of 2024 to sell over 1 crore tickets, proving that audiences connect with his storytelling style.
