Nex Computers brings in its innovation which can be powered using a smartphone

With the innovation in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, their applications in the Internet of Things are increasing tremendously. As such, the hardware components used for IoT need to be upgraded to meet the latest high-performing demands.

Especially in the motherboard section, the IoT hardware manufacturers have a long way to go and it seems that the companies are making progress at astonishing speeds. The new and latest laptop from Nex computers can run using the power of a smartphone or a Raspberry Pi module, instead of the built-in hardware.

The new laptop is dubbed the NexDock 360 and is the latest innovation in the company. The company faced several issues last year due to the pandemic. As the global supply chain was severely affected the company was unable to fulfill the orders of all NexDock Touch pre-orders, but it has promised to send a NexDock 360 to those who are affected, instead. Alternatively, they can request a refund of their pre-order deposit.

However, the latest machine from Nex Computers features a 13.3-inch touchscreen display, which operates natively at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and has a peak brightness of 300 nits. The manufacturer claims that the 13.3-inch display covers the full sRGB color space and at least 72% of NTSC. It comes with a USB Type-C port for connecting and charging a smartphone, along with a mini HDMI port, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a microSD card reader.

It also comes with a full-sized keyboard, a large trackpad, and multiple ports. The device is powered by a 44 Wh battery via a dedicated USB Type-C port. Nex Computer has included quad 1 W speakers, which certainly is amazing.

As for now, the manufacturer announced that its latest innovation is available for pre-order at US$269 and should begin shipping in March 2021.
