**1. Karuppu (Tamil — May 14)** *Cast: Suriya, Trisha Krishnan | Dir: RJ Balaji* The biggest release of the week. When the justice system crushes the underprivileged, folk deity Karuppu Swamy takes human form to restore balance. Suriya and Trisha reunite after years apart, and the mythological action spectacle carries heavy social undertones — making it the most anticipated film on this list.

**2. Athiradi (Malayalam — May 14)** *Cast: Tovino Thomas, Basil Joseph, Vineeth Sreenivasan | Dir: Arun Anirudhan* Student Samkutty tries to revive a banned college festival, clashing with feared local strongman Sree Kuttan.
