The National Film Awards Ceremony took place at Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi on Tuesday. Winners, accompanied by their families, attended the event where President Droupadi Murmu presented the awards. The ceremony commenced at 3:00 PM and was broadcast live on DD National. The event also streamed on DD’s National YouTube channel.

Numerous winners have already arrived in the capital for the occasion. Notable figures such as Allu Arjun and Alia Bhatt, recipients of the Best Actor and Actress awards respectively, will be present at the event with their loved ones and supporters. This year, Mollywood films have received significant recognition at the National Film Awards. Indrans received a special mention for his portrayal of Oliver Twist in the film ‘Home,’ while Vishnu Mohan was honored with the Indira Gandhi Award for Best Debut Film of a Director for his work in ‘Meppadiyan.’
The 69th National Film Awards, whose winners were announced in August 2023 by filmmaker Ketan Mehta, are set to acknowledge outstanding talents. Kriti Sanon, expressing her gratitude, mentioned her belief that her win for her role in ‘Mimi’ was a fulfillment of her aspirations noted in her diary. Allu Arjun achieved a historic milestone, becoming the first Telugu actor to receive the Best Actor award for his exceptional performance in ‘Pushpa.’
Additionally, R. Madhavan’s ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ was honored as the Best Feature Film, and Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Kashmir Files’ will receive the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration. The list of winners also includes various categories, from Best Music Director and Playback Singers to Best Screenplay and Special Jury Awards, showcasing the diverse talent in the Indian film industry.
