[Marvel](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avengers:_Doomsday)and Disney have confirmed six familiar faces will reprise their roles once *Avengers: Doomsday* (2026) and *Avengers: Secret Wars* (2027) wrap up the Multiverse Saga. The catch? Their comeback lives at Disney California Adventure’s Avengers Campus, not in theaters.

## Who’s Coming Back, and Where in Avengers ?

Two new attractions — **Avengers: Infinity Defense** and **Stark Flight Lab** — are bringing actors back on-screen for fresh footage, even for characters who haven’t appeared in years.

| Actor | Character | Ride | Status in Doomsday/Secret Wars |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Robert Downey Jr. | Iron Man (footage) | Infinity Defense | Playing Doctor Doom instead |
| Chris Hemsworth | Thor | Both rides | Confirmed for Doomsday |
| Anthony Mackie | Captain America | Infinity Defense | Confirmed for Doomsday |
| Brie Larson | Captain Marvel | Stark Flight Lab | Not in Doomsday; unconfirmed for Secret Wars |
| Jeremy Renner | Hawkeye | Infinity Defense | Unconfirmed, filmed on Doomsday set |
| Iman Vellani | Ms. Marvel | Infinity Defense | Not in either film |

## Why This Matters

The most eyebrow-raising detail: Robert Downey Jr. filmed new Iron Man footage for the ride *while shooting Doomsday as Doctor Doom* — meaning fans get new Tony Stark content without any confirmed return to the suit on-screen. Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, by contrast, is very much still active, having said he’d play the character **“a couple more times”** beyond 2027.

For Larson, Renner, and Vellani, the rides may be the clearest signal yet that Marvel hasn’t written them off — even without confirmed film roles. Disney says the rides blend physical sets with on-screen media, moving riders through recreated New York, Wakanda, and Asgard.
