The mini-auction for IPL 2023 will be held on December 23 in Kochi. 405 cricketers have been shortlisted from 991 players. Out of them, 273 are Indians and 132 are overseas players. 1. Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar – 15 years 152 days
Allah Mohammad from Afghanistan is the youngest player to get featured in the IPL mini-auction. He has a base price of INR 20 lakh. He’s a 6 feet 2 inches tall guy having some exceptional capabilities. He has played Afghanistan’s Shpageeza Cricket League, playing three games. He scalped five wickets and his best figure was 4/15, representing Mis Ainak Knights. Getting shortlisted for the IPL auction is an achievement for him. Franchises may buy him as they would love to groom this young talent.
2. Dinesh Bana – 18 years
Dinesh Bana has a decent experience of T20 as he represented Haryana in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy. Against Jammu and Kashmir, he mustered 43 runs and had five fours and one six. Even if he doesn’t get selected for any team but will surely gain experience.
3. Sakib Hussain – 18 years 1 day
The young lad played for Bihar in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and has registered his name for this mini-auction. He played only two matches in the tournament and had an impressive figure of 4/20 against Gujarat. He has a good idea of the T20 format and he can be a good addition to any franchise. Adding him to any bowling line-up will be an asset.
4. Kumar Kushagra – 18 years 52 days
The youngster is the youngest batter in first-class history who smashed a 250-plus score. He mustered 439 runs in seven innings in First Class cricket at an average of 62.71. In Vijay Hazare Trophy he has had scores of 74,75, 49, and an unbeaten 41 runs. His potential doesn’t match his records in the shortest match. This is the reason why IPL can be the best platform for him.
5. Shaik Rasheed – 18 years 81 days
Shaik Rasheed got attention as he was named the deputy of the ICC Men’s India U19 World Cup 2022 squad. In the semifinals, he scored 90 off 108 deliveries against Bangladesh. Then, his knock of 31 runs helped India win the ACC U19 Asia Cup 2021. Right now, he isn’t in his best form but everyone has seen his potential.
