On the football field in the twenty-first century, there have been a number of outstanding players, with elite teams always on the lookout for those individuals who can transform the game’s direction in an instant. Here are the five players who have scored 100 club goals the quickest in the twenty-first century.

1) Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid) – 100 goals in 105 games

via AS English

Cristiano Ronaldo moved to Real Madrid from Manchester United in 2009 for a then-world-record £80 million transfer price. It was money justified for Los Blancos, as the striker established himself as the club’s greatest ever player by the time he left in 2018. The Portugal legend has topped this chart since scoring 100 goals for the Spaniards in just 105 appearances.

2) Luis Suarez (Barcelona) – 100 goals in 120 games

Luis Suarez had to wait to make his Barcelona debut owing to a ban that kept him out for virtually the whole first half of 2014. When he did get an opportunity to show off his skills, he was outstanding in front of goal, as the Catalan giants are only 120 games away from reaching the century mark. In 2020, the Uruguayan retired as the club’s third-highest goalscorer of all time.

3) Zlatan Ibrahimovic (PSG) – 100 goals in 124 games

via Bleacher Report

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was the new owners’ first-star signing, and the Super Swede lived up to the expectation, scoring goals in abundance and propelling Paris Saint-Germain to the top of the French league. The striker scored 100 goals in 124 games for the Ligue 1 giants, totalling 156 goals in just 180 appearances.

4. Ruud van Nistelrooy (Manchester United) – 100 goals in 131 games

via Manchester Evening News

Ruud van Nistelrooy only stayed at Old Trafford for five seasons, yet he will be remembered as one of Manchester United’s and the Premier League’s finest attackers. The Dutchman was lethal in the box, scoring a century in only 131 appearances and winning the Golden Boot award twice during his tenure in England.

5. Edinson Cavani (Napoli) – 100 goals in 135 games

via Bleacher Report

Edinson Cavani will go down in history as one of the sport’s most underappreciated strikers, as the Uruguayan continues to impress wherever he goes. During his tenure at Napoli, the striker was sensational, scoring 100 goals in 135 games before going to Paris Saint-Germain.
