After Luka Modric and Marcelo, 5 new players and staff have tested positive for COVID-19. The rising number of COVID-19 cases in Europe has now also affected football.

Valencia revealed the cases of their head coach and two players on Monday. In the previous week, 42 Premier League players and staff have tested positive, the most in the league in a seven-day span. Last week, UEFA postponed Tottenham Hotspur’s Europa Conference League match against Rennes due to an epidemic within the club.
