Netflix’s *23,000 Lives* delivers breathtaking cinematography and a gripping performance from *Dark* star Louis Hofmann. While the high-stakes Mediterranean rescue sequences are technically flawless, the film falters narratively. Critics argue its aggressive messaging feels manipulative, trading nuanced storytelling for one-sided advocacy. It’s a visual masterpiece that struggles to trust its audience, ultimately landing as a polarizing, message-heavy drama rather than a balanced epic.
