2025 Tata Tiago and Tigor Updates Launching Soon to Rival Swift

Tata Motors has been a key player in the budget and affordable car segments, with notable contributions like the Indica, Indigo, Bolt, Zest, Tiago, and Tigor. The company has firmly established itself in this segment with these models.

The current first-generation facelift versions of the Tiago and Tigor need updates to remain competitive, and that’s what you see in these spy shots. It’s likely Tata will release new iterations of these models in January or February 2025, nearly five years after the last facelift in January 2020. These updates will add new features, newfound comforts, and advanced tech to keep up with newer rivals.

2025 Tata Tiago and Tigor Updates Expected Next Month – To Rival Swift and Dzire

However, “update” is the key word here and since Tata Motors has previously updated models without an exterior redesign, a blue-sky exterior redesign isn’t apparently on the cards either. The 2024 updates for the Punch and Nexon are perfect examples of this approach.

Cosmetically, the updates may come in the form of new paint options, darker headlight and taillight tints, and updated alloy wheels. What are likely to be the major updates on the inside, which will get rear AC vents and a front centre armrest in the 2025 Tiago and Tigor, and similar upgrades in the Tiago EV and Tigor EV.

The infotainment system also gets an update, including a potential 10.2-inch display, as well as wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. Expect other features to include a wireless charging pad, a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster and a single-pane sunroof. Tata could also standardise the trims across the range, so the existing XE, XM, XT and XZ trims may now give way to Pure, Adventure, Accomplished and Creative trims.

Both the 2025 Tiago and Tigor will continue to feature the 1.2L NA Petrol engine paired with dual-cylinder i-CNG. The Tiago will undercut the Maruti Swift and Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS, while the Tigor will go up against the Hyundai Aura, Maruti Dzire, as well as the recently launched Honda Amaze.
