The 2025 KTM 1390 Super Adventure S Evo, the brand’s latest flagship model in their Super Adventure series showcases a substantial evolution of adventure bikes. There’s a lot to uncover here, between its arresting design and all that new power and tech going on.
More About the KTM 1390 Super Adventure S Evo
The 2025 KTM 1390 Super Adventure S Evo redefines expectations for adventure enthusiasts. The big one in terms of performance is the debut of an automated manual transmission (AMT), a first for KTM motorcycles. This feature allows riders to choose between manual and fully automated modes, enhancing control during low-speed or cruising rides. The engine’s displacement has also increased from 1,301 cc to 1,350 cc, delivering 173 PS of power and 145 Nm of torque while meeting the latest Euro 5+ homologation standards.
The new Camshift technology is meant to enhance peak performance and delivery of torque, with the bike also boasting WP’s semi-active suspension tech that improves sensitivity and eliminates friction for added comfort in different terrains. As for the new Dunlop Meridian tires (120/70 front and 170/60 rear) wrapped around its 19-inch front hoops and 17-rear, they have a distinct ‘ice-ax’ tread pattern to channel away water from what will hopefully be many miles on unpaved surfaces. Also new are Brembo front master cylinders and revised front brake pads, which enhance braking performance.
On the technological front, the refresh tech package has a new vertically-oriented 8.8-inch TFT display that is also glove-friendly and has anti-reflex, anti-fingerprint, and anti-glare properties. A fifth-generation front radar sensor from Bosch enhances safety as well by detecting vehicles in the path and enabling maximum speeds even higher than where they were set. The bike gets ride modes: Rain, Street, Sport, Off-road, and Custom.
For improved protection on long journeys, the adjustable windshield gains 70 mm in height. All-new is an LED headlight unit for better road illumination, while the shift lever, clutch levers, and handlebar position can be further customized to fit different riders. This includes higher rpm capability, optimized radiator fans for improved cooling, and different seat materials to help with thermal transfer. Additionally, the footpegs are placed about 8 mm lower for a greater knee angle; and widened by about of an inch forward to increase comfort whilst standing.
