Since its launch back in 2021 the Tata Punch has been ravaging up quite a storm for its performance and popularity as it keeps taking the likes of Maruti Swift, and Hyundai Creta by surprise in India. The Punch will also be further upgraded in its 2024 facelift.
The All New 2024 Tata Punch Facelift
The updated Punch is expected to incorporate extensive styling modifications, especially at the front end, as suggested by these spy shots. The new iteration will come with an updated grille and headlamps, likely drawing inspiration from the Punch EV. The side profile will receive new alloy wheels and the rear should remain essentially similar with only minor changes to the tail lamps.
If we talk of the trims, a sunroof will be fitted on some variant but these are just to meet the customer’s appetite for more premium stuff. Additionally, this feature will also be available with the new Adventure S and Adventure + S which will further get rear AC vents and an upgraded grand console with an armrest for added convenience.
The 2024 Punch will feature a segment-first 10.25-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay on the inside. The overhaul has long been in the works and should prove a boon to UI design as well as driving fun. Modern drivers also get a wireless charger and fast C-type charging from high-end variants like the Accomplished and Creative Personas. The facelifted Punch may feature Tata’s illuminated two-spoke steering wheel and possibly ventilated front seats in top-spec variants.
The Pure Rhythm variant will be discontinued, and replaced by the new Pure (O) variant with added features such as central locking and electric adjustable ORVMs. The Adventure S and Adventure + S trims will gain a sunroof, rear AC vents, and a grand console with an armrest. The Accomplished variant will be replaced by the Accomplished +, featuring the new 10.25-inch infotainment system, while the Creative trims will be updated to Creative + and Creative + S, incorporating tech upgrades.
The facelifted Tata Punch will continue with its 1.2-liter petrol engine, delivering 87.8 PS and 115 Nm of torque, available with a 5-speed manual or AMT transmission. The CNG variant will also remain, producing 73.5 PS and 103 Nm, with a potential AMT option to enhance convenience. The launch is expected soon, with prices starting around ₹6 lakh, positioning the Punch to compete with models like the Hyundai Exter and Maruti Ignis.
