Hyundai, a player, in the automotive industry, has recently launched an updated model of its i20 N Line hatchback. While the i20 enjoys popularity worldwide it has particularly captured the hearts of consumers in markets, including India. The sporty i20 N Line variant underwent a refresh in India back in September 2023. Is now being introduced to markets.
The All New 2024 Hyundai i20 N Line
Upon comparing the 2024 Hyundai i20 N Line facelift with its counterpart from September 2023 one might not immediately notice design changes. However, upon examination, Hyundai has made tweaks to the front and rear bumpers to enhance the overall look. The latest update is evident, in the wheels of the 2024 i20 N Line facelift, which now features 17-inch wheels of the 16-inch ones on the Indian model.
Both versions showcase N badging on their wheels distinguishing them from i20 models that only bear the Hyundai logo. The front bumper has been refined with a redesigned section that tones down the prominence of accents. Moreover, enhanced projector fog lights are now seamlessly integrated into triangular elements at each end of the bumper adding a touch of elegance. The overall design highlights a look with J-shaped creases that enhance its sporty appeal.
The recent update to the i20 N Line has eliminated all traces marking a change. The interior design of the 2024 i20 N Line Facelift maintains a theme with accents to the version targeted for the Indian market. However, Hyundai has clarified that this specific variant is not expected to be released in India due to the introduction of the i20 N Line facelift in September 2023. The new design features such as 17-inch wheels may not comply with homologation requirements, for the market.
Moreover, 2024 i20 N Line comes with a 200 horsepower 1.6 liter 4 cylinder engine requiring brakes and wheels a setup that is not suitable, for the India-specific 1.0 liter 118 horsepower engine. Additionally, the iconic red accents, popular among customers have been left untouched to align with market preferences.
Interestingly, Hyundai’s recent decision to discontinue N Line versions of ICE-powered i20 and i30 in Europe suggests a strategic shift. The Hyundai i20 N Line Facelift is expected to be available in markets such as Turkey, Australia, and South Korea.
