2024 Hyundai Creta Facelift: Everything You Need to Know
The Hyundai Creta, which is currently leading the compact SUV market, in India with monthly sales surpassing its competitors is set to receive a facelift in early 2024. As the launch date approaches, test rounds of the Hyundai Creta facelift have been unveiling updates to both its exterior and interior features. Captured spy shots have allowed Pratyush Rout to create a rendering offering a clearer view of the new front design of the 2024 Creta.
The All New 2024 Hyundai Creta Facelift
The 2024 Hyundai Creta will undergo a redesign on its exterior including changes to the headlamp design LED daytime running lights (DRLs) sequential turn indicators and tail lamps at the back. Noteworthy modifications comprise of a grille revised front and rear bumpers and a redesigned tailgate. The facelift will introduce alloy wheels along with blacked-out elements like rearview mirrors (ORVMs) and a shark fin antenna. Additionally, it will feature aesthetics achieved through roof rails and skid plates. Drawing inspiration from the Kia Seltos facelift there are also hints about incorporating parking sensors into the Creta facelift.
Keeping interiors that can accommodate up to five adults comfortably the 2024 Creta facelift will mirror many of the equipment found in the Seltos facelift. Updates include dual-tone upholstery options as well as adjustable headrests for enhanced comfort. Ventilated seats and side air conditioning vents are also part of these updates along, with a connected screen that integrates seamlessly with an instrument cluster and drive modes options.
The car has a safety system that includes six airbags, a 360-degree parking camera, traction control, ABS, EBD, ESP, and an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). This system is, at level 2. Offers 17 features, which are similar, to the features found in the updated Seltos model.
The ADAS features include blind-spot collision warning, blind-spot collision avoidance assist, forward collision alert with avoidance assist, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, lane follow assist, smart cruise control, front vehicle departure warning, driver attention alert, high beam assist, rear cross-traffic collision warning, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist, and safe exit warning.
The Creta facelift will retain its power from the existing 1.5-liter NA petrol engine, producing 115 hp power and 143.8 Nm torque, coupled with a 6-speed manual and intelligent variable transmission (IVT). The 1.5-liter diesel engine remains unchanged, generating 116 hp power and 250 Nm torque, with options for a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox.
A new addition is the 1.5-liter turbo petrol unit offering 160 hp power and 253 Nm torque, paired with a 6-speed iMT and 7DCT. Upon its launch in early 2024, the Creta Facelift will continue to compete with models such as the Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, new Kia Seltos, Toyota HyRyder, new Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq, and MG Astor.
