An exclusive “Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy” shown in promotional photos

As a result of an agreement between Samsung and Qualcomm, the forthcoming Galaxy S23 series will only employ a chipset known as the “Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy.”

That is a mouthful, to say the least. Don’t worry; Samsung has a more succinct way of reminding people about the unique processor that powers its latest flagships.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy is here

Relevant promotional graphics will feature the redesigned Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 logo. Just days before the official release on February 1st, a few promotional photographs have already surfaced online. Starting the following week, be prepared to see advertisements of similar nature on several billboards and online.

Although specifics of the agreement with Qualcomm are now hazy, the chipset will be exclusive to Samsung, at least initially and possibly indefinitely. The Galaxy S24 generation is anticipated to continue the “Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy” trend into the following year. Following that, Samsung MX may decide to employ its own chipset.
