Intel Arc Desktop Roadmap leaks Online

An alleged Intel Arc Desktop Graphics roadmap has been revealed, indicating Alchemist+ GPUs in 2H 2023 and Battlemage GPUs in 2024. Raja Koduri has stated on numerous occasions that they are not abandoning their discrete GPUs or desktop graphics card lineup. RedGamingTech appears to have unearthed a pretty legitimate-looking roadmap that outlines Intel’s upcoming desktop graphics for 2023 and 2024. The roadmap appears to be rather recent, as it includes all of the existing Alchemist SKUs as well as a couple that have yet to be launched.

The latest speculations concerning an Intel Arc Alchemist GPU upgrade appear to be real. According to the roadmap leak, the new lineup will be known as the ‘Alchemist+’ family and will contain two GPU SKUs, the ACM+ G21 and the ACM+ G20. The ACM+ G21 series will be aimed at high-end graphics cards with TDP ratings ranging from 175-225W, and the ACM+ G20 series will be aimed at entry-level designs with 75-100W discrete graphics devices.

What’s intriguing is that the ACM-G21 will be the high-end Alchemist GPU’s successor to the ACM-G10, while the ACM-G11 will be the low-end Alchemist GPU’s successor. This could be related to the chip’s manufacture, implying that the entry-level GPU was designed before the G21 GPU.

Intel intends to release two mid-tier SKUs under the existing Arc Alchemist graphics card range, aimed at the 150W sector.

Both GPUs are expected to have 6 GB of RAM and will be classified as performance or mainstream. It should be noted that Intel has yet to release its Arc A580 GPU for desktop PCs. Intel intends to go big next year with the release of two powerful GPUs aimed at the enthusiast dGPU category. The Xe2 dGPU architecture will be used by these two GPUs, which will be part of the Battlemage family. According to the roadmap, early enabling of the Battlemage GPUs is anticipated for Q1’24, with the first GPUs arriving in the middle of 2024.

The enthusiast-tier BMG-G10 GPU will ship with a TDP of 225W in the Arc B-Series ‘Battlemage’ portfolio, while the BMG-G21 GPU will target the performance segment with 150 Watt TDP designs.

  • Next-Gen Memory Subsystem & Compression
  • Improved Ray Tracing
  • Micro-Architecture improvements
  • Next-Gen ML-based rendering tech
  • Latest DeepLink capabilities
  • Targeting Performance/Enthusiast Gaming

It will be some time before we hear more from Intel, as they recently held their CES 2023 keynote and gave us no further update on the Arc GPU family or any new discrete graphics cards, but there are plenty of events scheduled during the first half of 2023 where the company could just give us the next-big update on its Arc GPU family.
