TENAA published a rather comprehensive spec sheet for the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.However, the FCC prefers to keep things under wraps. A pair of Galaxy S23 phones were discovered there a few weeks ago.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra features
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is 233g in weight and dimensions 163.4 x 78.1 x 8.9mm. Its size is identical to that of the previous S22 Ultra, as one may anticipate. The display is the same size as well, measuring 6.8″ and having a 1,440 x 3,088px resolution (19.3:9 aspect ratio). The battery is rated at 4,855mAh, hence the usual capacity should be 5,000mAh as per custom.
Three clusters of frequencies are listed for the phone’s CPU: 3.36GHz, 2.8GHz, and 2.0GHz. The Galaxy S23 series is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SM8550-AC, which has faster clock speeds (the GPU has also been upgraded, but TENAA doesn’t indicate that).
The chipset will work with 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage in addition to 8GB or 12GB of RAM. Even though the base 8/128GB Galaxy S22 Ultra model may not be going to China, it did exist.
Speaking of items not arriving in China, the alleged assistance for satellite communication is nowhere to be found. Naturally, that wasn’t offered on iPhone 14s that were also sold in China, so we don’t anticipate seeing it listed on TENAA.
The cameras, allegedly consisting of a new 200MP sensor (1/1.3″, 0.6m, 12MP default resolution), 3x and 10x telephoto cameras with comparable hardware but better image quality, are also not mentioned. It has been reported that the main camera will finally switch to 8K @ 30fps video (previous models stick to a cinematic 24fps).
Insider information indicates that the Samsung Unpacked event will be in the first week of February, and that the launch will happen a few weeks later, in late February.
