LG UltraGear OLED Gaming Monitor with 240Hz Refresh Rate set to make its debut in January 2023 at $999

The 27-inch 27GR95QE, which has an OLED panel and a quick 240 Hz refresh rate, was previously introduced by LG. The business told us that the monitor will cost $999 in the US at the time but did not give us a shipping date.

The 27GR95QE will ship in early January 2023, LG has now announced. The manufacturer also said that the high-end 45GR95QE, which we first learned about in late August, will likewise ship early the following month and cost $1,699.

The only variations between the two displays’ specifications are their screen size, resolution, and curvature, which are quite close (the 27GR95QE features a flat panel, while the 45GR95QE has an 800R curvature).

The 45-inch 45GR95QE increases the QHD resolution of the 27GR95QE’s 27-inch panel to WQHD (2560 x 1440). (3440 x 1440). Additionally, both displays share the same 1,500,000:1 contrast ratio, 1,500,000 Hz maximum refresh rate, 0.03 GtG response time, HDR10 capability, and 98.5 percent DCI-P3 color coverage. The two monitors are also fully compatible with AMD FreeSync Premium Adaptive-Sync and Nvidia G-Sync technologies.

We may anticipate seeing rich, inky blacks and superb color representation thanks to the use of an OLED panel. However, bear in mind that LG uses an anti-glare coating on the new UltraGear monitors to reduce irritating reflections, but the majority of display makers utilize a glossy finish to make OLED panels “pop” even more.

LG has you covered on the connectivity front with support for both HDMI 2.1 (two connectors) and DisplayPort 1.4.

Additionally, there is a 4-pole headphone connector that supports the DTS Headphone:X standard and an integrated USB 3.0 hub. If you don’t want to fiddle with the OSD controls on the monitor, the 27GR95QE and 45GR95QE also come with a remote control.

Preorders for the LG UltraGear 27GR95QE and 45GR95QE are presently being accepted directly through LG.com. A complimentary UltraGear Gaming Pad, with an MSRP of $199, will also be given to consumers who place orders during the preorder phase. Even yet, that cost is astronomical considering that the comparably sized Strider Chroma from Razer is “just” $130.
