USA and England played out a 0-0 draw in their 2022 World Cup meeting, and shared a point each. While England are at the top of group B, USA are now third with two points, having played out two draws so far.
England didn’t have a very good game on the attacking front. Resolute defending from their opponents, and a decent outing for Matt Turner allowed them only eight total shots in the game.

The USMNT had a number of very good chances, which they failed to convert. Weston McKennie had the chance to break the deadlock from a corner, but hit his effort over the bar.
Christian Pulisic also found a way to beat the defenders around him and get a shot, only for it to hit the post. However, neither team deserved to win with a mostly cagey affair being played out.
England will only need to avoid a heavy defeat against Wales in order to make it to the knockout stages. On the other hand, USA will need to win against Iran to make it to the last 16. It won’t be easy, however, with Iran defeating Wales 2-0 recently.
