Paul Winstanley joins Chelsea as new Director of Global Talent and Transfers

Chelsea have confirmed the appointment of Paul Winstanley as their new Director of Global Talent and Transfers. After spending eight years with Brighton and helping them earn a reputation for finding and developing top talents from across the world, Winstanley will start work in West London immediately, as confirmed by the club.

Winstanley was head of recruiting for Brighton, and a lot of their success in terms of incomings and outgoings can be attributed to him. Hopefully, he will be able to develop Chelsea’s transfer strategy to be more concrete since they haven’t had many successful deals recently.

Here is what Paul Winstanley told the club’s official website: “I’m thrilled to be joining Chelsea and to continue working with Graham Potter and his team. There is a real sense of excitement and momentum around the new ownership and this project. I’m looking forward to working with such an outstanding group of colleagues as the club moves into a new era.”

“Paul is going to be a great addition to Chelsea. He’s highly respected and is a key senior addition as we continue to build a world class sporting team with a huge depth of talent, ambition and commitment who will work closely with us to drive the club forward.  Paul shares our philosophy and will fit seamlessly into the organisation,” Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali added.
