Schenker Vision 16 and Vision 16 Pro come powered with 12th Gen Intel CPU and Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3080 GPU

New ultrabooks from Schenker, the Vision 16 and Vision 16 Pro combine performance with portability, lightweight, and upgradeability. Despite having up to Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop graphics subsystem and an Intel Core i7-12700H processor with 14 cores, the 16-inch devices are still lighter than Apple’s MacBook Pro 14.

The Intel Core i7-12700H (six performance cores up to 4.70 GHz, eight efficiency cores up to 3.50 GHz, Intel Xe Graphics, 45W PBP, 115W MTP) is the foundation of Schenker’s Vision 16 and Vision 16 Pro computers. It is paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti (4GB) or RTX 3060 (6GB), RTX 3070 Ti (8GB), or RTX 3080 (Vision Pro 16). According to a picture provided by VideoCardz, Schenker’s 16-inch mobile PCs are fitted with a cooling system made up of three heat pipes and two blowers to guarantee the consistent performance of the CPU and GPU.

Up to 64GB of DDR4-3200 (Vision 16) or DDR5-4800 (Vision Pro 16) memory and two M2-2280 SSDs with a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface can be added to the laptops. Users can upgrade either device.

Regarding screens, the Schenker Vision 16 has a non-glare 2560 x 1600 LCD, 350 nits of brightness, and a refresh rate of 90 Hz, whilst the Vision 16 Pro has a non-glare 2560 x 1600 LCD, 350 nits of brightness, and a refresh rate of 240 Hz.

There are two Thunderbolt 4 connectors, one USB Type-C port, two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 display output, an SD card reader, and an audio jack for headsets available on the devices. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 are included in the laptops to enable connectivity to the internet and other devices.

The same magnesium alloy chassis supports both the Vision 16 and Vision 16 Pro notebooks. Its dimensions are 354 x 245 x 17.1 mm, and its weight ranges from 1.45 kilograms for the Intel integrated graphics model to 1.5 kilograms for the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti model to 1.6 kilograms for SKUs with more powerful graphics processors. To put the figures into perspective, the laptops’ weight is within the range of Apple’s MacBook Pro 14 while being somewhat thicker (17.1 mm vs. 16.8 mm) than the MacBook Pro 16 with M1 Pro or M1 Max SoCs (1.6 kilograms).

The entry-level Schenker Vision 16 costs €1,549 ($1,298 without VAT), while the most cost-effective Schenker Vision Pro 16 costs €1,899 ($1,592 without VAT). In November, both machines will be accessible.

Schenker employs Clevo barebones, like many other manufacturers of gaming laptops. To that end, anticipate the release of high-performance ultrabooks from other brands that use the same barebones, have comparable configurations and have a 17.1 mm thickness and a weight of up to 1.6 kilos.
