The length of time it will take players to complete Capcom’s remake of Resident Evil 4 when it debuts early in the next year has been disclosed. Resident Evil 4 has always been one of the longest games in the genre when compared to some of the first titles. Even though it seems likely that the upcoming RE4 remake will keep the game’s length the same, several fans questioned whether Capcom would be prolonging the game significantly. It turns out that this isn’t how it should be.

Producer of the Resident Evil 4 remake Yoshiaki Hirabayashi revealed that the game will be “roughly the same” length as the original in a recent interview with PC Gamer. According to Hirabayashi, the decision to maintain the game’s playability at about the same level as the original was made in response to comments fans made following Capcom’s remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3. And while the upcoming edition of RE4 will undoubtedly feature some adjustments, these modifications won’t significantly lengthen or shorten the game.

The average player needed about 15 hours to complete the first Resident Evil 4 game, according to aggregate data from How Long to Beat.

Based on Hirabayashi’s statements, it appears likely that the remake of RE4 will take place somewhere around the same neighbourhood, though this time may vary depending on a variety of variables. Although the plot and gameplay in the new version of the game will be updated, it appears like Capcom isn’t trying to veer too far from what made the first title so cherished.

Resident Evil 4 will be released on March 24, 2023, in case you haven’t already marked that date on your calendar. When it does, it will be playable on the PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 4.
