This September Netflix dropped the fifth season of Cobra Kai, now in October, we all are eagerly waiting for an official renewal from Netflix but there is still a question mark of how well the show will perform in near future. There is a YouTube Original series, after two seasons Cobra Kai mainly moved into Netflix and has soared even more in popularity. The series maintains the continuation of The Karate Kid film that takes place 34 years after the reignite rivalry between Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso.

Cobra Kai (Season 6): Renewal Status

At the time of writing, Netflix is going to renew Cobra Kai for the sixth season. This is unlike prior to seasons where we have always known before the time that they are returning. The creators also have said several times over the years as they had planned for the series to get running for a minimum of 6 seasons.

On speaking to Deadline about the chance of a sixth season recently, Hayden Schlossberg said: “We have an end in mind. How many seasons it takes to get there, we won’t know. We are enjoying making it so much. If it gets tiring to us, we’ll stop before that; we have a few more seasons already planned out.”

Currently, we are predicting that the series will be getting renewed for another season on Netflix but with the caveat that it may be the last and final season order. This is simply because some of the data suggesting the show has peaked in terms of popularity with other factors.

After using several resources, we can able to dive into looking at exactly how well the show is going. For the first time. There is hourly data represented by Netflix to look at the performance of the show.

Have covered in our 14th September Top 10 report we can able to see the series has lagged behind the fourth season. In the report, Frederic states:

“…its fifth season and its launch of 17.1 million CVE lags a little behind the 21.4 million CVE of Season 4.

But Season 4 was released on the first of January, so that might explain the difference.”

The data comes from Netflix’s top 10 sites where we can get 40 hourly figures each week. Between 4th September and 9th October 2022, the series has been seen for 274.73M hours globally in the top 10s.

Cobra Kai (Season 6): Comparison Between Season 5 and Season 4

There is a notable drop but the two series mainly had a similar trajectory Season 5 has kicked off with an 11% drop down from the fourth season.

Cobra Kai (Season 6): Expectations

After asking two such Cobra Kai superfans for their predictions over the sixth season.

Cobra Kai

The Future of Cobra Kai

After Terry Silver’s cheating antics were exposed to his students all of them just turned their back on their sensei, he had subsequently prisoned for his crimes. The future of Cobra Kai has now been exposed to the serious debut, and so too will for dojo’s place in the Sakay Takay. As Kim Da-Eun has a 50% stake in Cobra Kai, she may be capable to overcome those obstacles obstacle and utilizing the students from her own dojos by using the Cobra Kai name and the branding.

Mike Barnes able to take over Cobra Kai or not

Mike exposed to Daniel and Chozen that he got promised a 50% stake in Cobra Kai by Terry Silver a few years ago. When he is not quite sure if he could find the movement or the lawyer to prove it there is a chance about the former enemy of Daniel able to continue to redeem himself.

This could definitely hold the potential Cota Kai civil war of Mieke Barnes leading Terry’s former students who may have to battle with the students of Kim Da-Eun.

If Kreese getting involves with Kim Da-Eun, we might easily watch him trying to manipulate the condition but getting Kim Da-Eun the stake her 50% against Barnes’s 50% in a winner that takes all such bet at the Sekai Takai.

Kreese’s Motive

Kresse is making his escape from prison the only person he can now turn to is Kim Da-Eun, the grandfather of his former master. Silver and Kim Da-Eun had already a formidable pairing, but Kreese now holds just nothing to lose that makes him more dangerous than ever.

The future of Miyagi-Do and Eagle-Fang

After Silver gets defeated, Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang should be able to make their triumphant comeback and re-open their dojos, and start training the students for the Sekai Takai. Now the question I s who is going to represent the respective dojos remains to be seen, but we are expecting Miguel to unveil Eagle Fang, and Hawk to expose Miyagi-Do. Depending upon the situation with Cobra Kai, Robby could represent the dojo over Kenny. If Robby set to rejoin Miyagi-Do or Eagle Fang he may have to compete against either Hawk or Miguel.

Samantha has set to be representing Miyagi-Do, and Devon Lee once again going to represent Eagle Fang. For Tory, her place in the tournament is little in doubt if the organizers of the Sekai Takai select to ban her for not arriving clean earlier about Silver’s cheating. This thing might lead to Tory’s redemption if she has been allowed to compete.

The Birth of Baby

Johnny had a bay with Carmen, and it’s not yet clear when the bay is due, which would impact Johny’s attendance at the Sekai Takaya.

The appearance of Julie Pierce

Among all such major characters from the original Karate Kid film have come back to represent their roles in Cobra Kai. The only omission so far is Julie Pierce who was last time played by Academy Award-winning actress Hilary Swank. This could be very funny to watch Swank return to perform her role as Julie as the character could come back to train the students of Miyagi-Do for such preparation of Sekai Takai.

If there is any such conflict with Kim D-Eun, it would be incredibly fun to watch Julie Pierce go one-on-one along with the Korean master of Tang Soo Do.

Cobra Kai (Season 6): Cast

The cast list of Cobra Kai is really very extensive. We are expecting the majority of the cast list from the fifth season that contains Ralph Macchio as Daniel LaRusso, William Zabka as Johnny Lawrence, Courtney Henggeler as Amanda LaRusso, Xolo Mariduena as Miguel Diaz, Taner Buchanan as Robby Keene, Mary Mouser as Samantha LaRusso, Jacob  Bertrand as Hawk, Gianni DeCenzi as Demetri, Martin  Kove as John Kreese, Vanessa Rubio as Carmen Diaz, Petyon List as Tory Nichols, Griffin Santopietro as Anthony LaRusso, Dallas Dupree Young as Kenny Payne, Yuji Okumoto s Chozen, Oona O’Brien as Devon,  and Alicia Hannah-Kim as Kim Da-Eun.

Cobra Kai (Season 6): Estimated Release Date

In the short span of twenty months, we have seen the release of three seasons of Cobra Kai on Netflix beginning with Season 3 in January 2021, and currently the fifth season in September 2022.

While the subscribers have become used to watching new seasons of Cobra kai on Netflix on a semi-regular, the wait for the sixth season could be the longest yet. At first, Netflix has yet to renew Cobra Kai for the sixth season, and season, the showrunners of the series have been working on Obliterated, their latest project for Netflix that is not expected to end the shooti9ng in November 2022.

The entire thing mainly indicates Cobra Kai renewal, we are not expecting the shooting to start until sometime in 2023. This also indicates that we may not able to see the return of Cobra Kai until late 2023, the realistic release date may be some time in 2024.
