Angel Di Maria out for 20 days prior to World Cup

Angel Di Maria suffered an injury in Juventus’ 2-0 loss to Maccabi Haifa in the Champions League. And upon running tests, it has been revealed that the Argentine will be out for 20 days. The 34-year-old has sustained a low grade hamstring injury, and the knock is not serious.

Which means that he will be back just in time for the 2022 World Cup, and is expected to make the national team for the trip to Qatar. The player signed for the Italian club this summer after leaving PSG, and has one goal and four assists across all competitions.

Angel Di Maria to be back in time for World Cup

The winger has been quite impressive for the Bianconeri since joining them, but has also suffered due to Juventus’ overall drop in form. His relationship with Max Allegri is reportedly not the best as of right now, due to differences in terms of tactics.

But he has been able to deliver on the pitch when called upon, and has shown a good run of form ahead of the World Cup. In what could be his last time at the tournament, Angel Di Maria will be a part of the Argentina team who are going to Qatar unbeaten for 35 games.
