Top 10 players with the most goals scored against top 10 international sides: Where does Lionel Messi stand? 

Lionel Messi recently scored twice to help Argentina to a 3-0 win against Honduras as they prepare for the World Cup. He is now the fourth-highest scorer in the history of international football, with 88 goals to his name. 

Ahead of Messi are Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal, 117 goals), Ali Daei (Iran, 109 goals) and Mokhtar Dahari (Malaysia, 89 goals). And his current rate of scoring suggests that he will soon be the third highest in the world.

His rival, Cristiano Ronaldo, is second by only two goals while Thomas Muller is in third place by three goals.
