Logitech G Cloud enters the market with Support for Game Pass and GeForce NOW

The new Logitech G Cloud looks to combine the recent growth of both gaming portables and cloud gaming services. The new portable, created in collaboration with Chinese giant publisher Tencent and Logitech, has a form factor similar to the Steam Deck but is exclusively focused on streaming rather than running games locally.

As a result, the gadget works flawlessly with NVIDIA’s GeForce Now and Xbox Cloud Gaming with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. The gadget will have access to the Google Play Store, so you may use that to access a variety of streaming services (and perhaps even side-load some stuff). Additionally accessible is local game streaming using the SteamLink or Xbox App.

Although it requires some additional tweaking, portables like the Steam Deck can technically run game streaming services like Xbox Cloud Gaming. Additionally, the Logitech G Cloud, which is solely focused on streaming, has some advantages, such as a reduced price and an outstanding 12 hours of battery life.

Comfortable Play All Day – The Logitech G Cloud Gaming Handheld enables gamers to play anywhere with Wi-Fi. With a 12+ hour battery life and weight of only 463g, players can enjoy extended sessions.

Full HD – The large 7-inch full 1080p HD touchscreen touts a 60Hz refresh rate and a full-screen 16:9 gaming experience that is unique to handhelds.

Precision Gaming Controls – Performance and feedback rival the best controllers with haptics, gyroscope, and remappable controls.

The quality of the Logitech G Cloud is still up for debate

Given that it won’t be as affected by hardware obsolescence as the Steam Deck, I can see how it would be a more alluring product for some people. Tencent’s involvement further suggests that the device will receive significant marketing support in China and other Asian markets, making it less likely that it will be swiftly abandoned as some other portables have been.

Pre-orderers will be able to purchase the Logitech G Cloud for $300 instead of the regular $350 pricing.
