Lazio bids 12 million euros for Rafinha after losing David Silva

Brazilian midfielder Rafinha will be playing his football in Qatar for the coming years, as he has signed for Al Arabi Qatar. The deal is a permanent one, and he has agreed to a two-year contract with the side, ending his spell at PSG.

The player was used under Thomas Tuchel, during his time at the club. However, he fell out of favour under Mauricio Pochettino who succeeded the German. He has now left the Parisians for good, and has taken up the number 10 jersey at his new club.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the deal was for free which means that PSG are expected to have terminated his contract. Or else, they could have agreed a bonus-based structure with them like that of Dele Alli to Everton.

Last season, Rafinha joined Real Sociedad on loan for the latter half of the season. He played 17 times for them and helped them finish sixth in La Liga. And now, he is expected to have regular game time again in Qatar.

Paris Saint-Germain have recruited several new midfielders this summer in Vitinha, Renato Sanches, Carlos Soler and Fabian Ruiz. They have let go of several fringe players as well, and have reshaped the squad under Luis Campos to challenge for European silverware.
